QATAR NATIONAL DAY 2009

At Innovations Unlimited ME, we have been given the proud responsibility of all Lighting Displays during Qatar National Day 2009. We have thus aligned our vision fully with the National Day Committee to be one which exudes Identity, Solidarity, and Pride portrayed in a very Elegant Fashion.

A vision of a Qatar National Day 2009 that is unique and unforgettable. An important event and a leap in celebrations dedicated to the great Nation of Qatar, and its people to celebrate their beautiful principals of truth, justice, friendship, and brotherhood, as well the values of generosity, loyalty, responsibility and sacrifice.

Our mission has been to use well selected, advanced and unique projection technologies, orchestrated by world-class Light Artists who have no limits in creativity; to deliver spectacular light shows that will dazzle, entertain, and engage the celebrants.

Applying all principals and characteristics described above, the event will feature two main themes:

  • The Desert Theme
  • The Sea Theme

For each theme we synchronize the colors of all lightings on buildings, roads, trees, and street lights, thereby creating the ambience related to the theme. For example, during the Desert Theme all lights and images will cover the subjects in a golden yellow colour instilling the sensation of warmth and nostalgia. Similarly, during the Sea Theme, the pervasive blue colour will create a calm yet wondrous mood!

From a creative end, aside from the KIDS paintings, one of the largest efforts in the project is the Artistic work - the imagery used for projections. Inspiring the creative process this year is the great "Sheikh Jassim", the founder and uniter of the State of Qatar. Throughout the Light and Video displays you will see beautiful highlights of significant historical events dating back to Sheikh Jassim's time.

From a technical event, we summarize below the main highlights of our program:

  • Lighting of many Buildings along the Corniche
  • Lighting of the Trees and Street Lights along the Corniche
  • Creative Light Projections on 16 Buildings
  • Two Video Projections on the Commercial Bank Tower and The Pearl Oyster
  • A Special feature of Light Projections for the Emiri Diwan
  • And of course, your "Kids Event" at the Commercial Bank Plaza

The Program runs for one week, starting December 12th. Over the course of the week, you will see a buildup of Sky Light-beams, Lights decorating Trees and Street posts, and the Light and Video projections on the buildings.
